The current Vice Dean of the International School of Engineering at Tianjin Chengjian University.

Affiliation: Tianjin Chengjian University

Education:

  • PhD in Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics from Nankai University, ChinaMünster / Germany

Specialisastion

  1. Research on the Application of chiral Inorganic Quantum Dot Nanomaterials as Bio-probes;
  2. Research on the optical properties of inorganic chiral nanomaterials;
  3. Research on the application of nano functional materials in the field of energy.

Expertise:

Prof. LI Guangmin has his expertise in chiral inorganic QDs design and their biological application. The chiral probe that is composed of folic acid and inorganic QDs creates new pathways for improving the efficacy of diagnosis and treatment of cancer cells. He has fabricated this chiral probe after years of experience in research both in universities and cooperation with famous hospitals. The chiral probe can specifically target tumor cells, and their killing effects on tumor cells are time-dependent and concentration dependent. In vivo results indicate that chiral probe can effectively inhibit the growth of T47D breast cancer cells, indicating that the chiral probe has significant potential applications in targeted anticancer drugs for future clinical applications.
